Although primarily known as a race car specialist, MacG Racing service and prepare a variety of performance cars for both road and track use. We work with a huge variety of race and performance cars, from American muscle cars to Japanese technological marvels. We offer preset and inclusive pre-track day inspection to help ensure your track day runs smoothly with maximum enjoyment and vehicle reliability, carried out in MacG’s race and track vehicle preparation workshop and available in three levels.   Bronze package – £149 An all-inclusive 25-point vehicle inspection to give an insight into your vehicle’s condition and ensure it is ready for upcoming track use. Rather than a generic inspection based on a road vehicle, this is a specific inspection carried out by our motorsport focused workshop team with a focus on track use. No pressured upsell, but a wealth of guidance and advice is available to help you get the most out of your car and ensure you have the information available to prepare your car to the highest standard.   Silver package – £299 The same multi point inspection, but with two important additions. Rather than stopping at checking and testing the brake fluid, our technicians will refresh the system using Millers high performance fluid, this is one of the most important, yet often over looked aspects of track preparation. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, and old, contaminated brake fluid has a much lower boiling point: this lower boiling point, with the increased brake temperatures experienced on track, is not a combination we wish any track day driver to experience. The second addition is an engine oil and filter change. MacG Racing recommend and personally use Millers engine oil; by combining the recommended grade of Millers Nanodrive synthetic engine oil with on OEM specification filter, you are taking a great value step to protecting your hard-working engine.   Gold package – £499 If you are looking for taking your track day preparation a step beyond the inspection and fluid changes offered by the Bronze and Silver packages, our Gold package offers these aspects combined with a geometry set up. The way any vehicle behaves is affected massively by the alignment geometry set up. Where applicable our technicians will set ride height and corner weighting using Intercomp scales. Camber and toe are set for both front and rear. Vehicles can be aligned to manufacture settings, track, or custom settings.
