Tuning/Remapping
MacG Racing offer tuning and remapping services for cars fitted with OEM ECU’s. Unlock some of the potential performance of your vehicle by allowing us to optimise the files within your car’s ECU to give greater power, torque and economy along with a host of other options. Our service is completed on site at our Derby based facility, and uses the latest remapping technology to extract performance from your vehicle. Stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 maps available.
Track & Race Car Builds
MacG Racing offer design and consultancy services for each stage of your build and have the workshop Staff and facilities to realise your plans. We supply a wide range of performance parts that can be specified to enhance the performance of your car, for track or road use. Whether your requirement is for a new project, or the completion of an existing car, we can provide the assistance required.
Track & Race Preparation
Whether you are a seasoned racer, or taking your first tentative steps towards track driving, we can prepare your car by optimising its current setup, or carry out upgrading work to enhance its performance. With many years of experience in Endurance Racing at Club and National level, we can produce a winning car for you.
Component Builds & Upgrades
Engine and Transmission Builds and Upgrades”: MacG Racing are European Agents for Albins Transmissions and an Authorised Service Centre for Drenth Gearboxes. The Company can rebuild or upgrade your existing engine and transmission, for improved performance and reliability.
Suspension Fitting & Setup
Suspension health check and setup, including ride height, corner weighting, toe and camber adjustments, and supply and fitment of suspension upgrades to optimise your cars performance. Consultancy service available.
Servicing Work
Servicing work on your performance car can be carried out to meet OEM specifications, or enhanced to prepare your car for the additional stresses of track use.
Kit Car Projects
Full or part builds undertaken, including self-build projects you haven’t had time to complete. Full IVA preparation and testing available. Safety checks can also be carried out on existing work.

For Overseas or UK customers, support given for buying your vehicle. Help in searching for vehicle and guidance on best choice. Inspection service with report on condition of vehicle and recommended repairs. Transport and shipping arrangement support.

MacG Racing is the main UK Distributor for Albins Transmissions and Braid Motorsport Wheels. Autotrac Vehicle Trackers
Autotrac is a Thatcham S7 accredited tracking product. The GPS allows us to locate down to 3 – 5 metres in real time. RF (Radio Frequency) allows us to locate down to 1 metre if hidden in garages or containers. Ideal for road cars, track and race cars, as well as trailers, vans and transporters. MacG Racing are authorised suppliers and installers of Autotrac.
Vapour Blasting
MacG Racing are able to offer full vapour blasting services using their state-of-the-art vapour blasting equipment, which is on site at our Development Centre in Barrow Upon Trent, just south of Derby. Vapour blasting uses a fine abrasive blast media mixed with water, which is fired onto the part at high pressure to clean and degrease the surface. Unlike shot blasting, vapour blasting leaves no abrasive material impregnated on the surface, and is ideal for cleaning and restoring metal surfaces including engine covers, sumps, blocks, gearbox casing, uprights and brake calipers. It is particularly effective on aluminium components. It is also ideal for preparing surfaces for paint and other coatings, as it cleans, degreases and keys the surface in one step.
Design and Engineering
MacG Racing offer a comprehensive design and engineering service, ranging from basic suspension dynamics analysis and optimisation, through to full design of components, systems or vehicles, including reverse engineering and prototyping of components using our state of the art equipment. Clients we serve range from individuals through to OEMs. MacG Racing have 3D scanning and printing facilities to assist with development and prototyping work when required.
